Settled — Privacy Policy

FBG START LTD · Last updated 19 August 2026

The short version

Settled collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Everything the app knows about you lives on your phone and never leaves it.

What the app stores — on your device only

Settled has no camera feature and never uses your camera or microphone. Proof of an activity is one line of text you write yourself, stored only on your device.

What never happens

Permissions, and why each exists

The accessibility service

Settled offers an optional accessibility service whose only job is to notice, the moment it happens, which app has come to the front of your screen — so that a watched app can be closed instantly once your allowance is spent, without a battery-draining background process.

The accessibility service is not used to collect any data whatsoever.

Purchases

The supporter pass (one-time) and the £4.99 monthly plan (auto-renewing) are sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store processes the payment and holds the record of your purchase or subscription; Settled only stores a yes/no ownership flag on your device and asks the store to confirm it. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your data

Uninstall the app. That erases everything, immediately and permanently — because nothing was ever stored anywhere else.

One exception, in your own hands: if you use Android's Google backup, a single tiny file holding your free-trial start date is included in your device backup, so a reinstall doesn't restart the trial. Only your Google account can restore it; we can never read it. Your goals, history and notes are excluded from backup entirely.

Children

Settled is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13.
