Who we are

Settled is made and sold by FBG START LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Contact: support@thesettledapp.com. By installing or using Settled you agree to these terms.

What Settled is

Settled is a personal discipline tool: it watches the apps you choose, closes them when the allowance you set is spent, and asks you to pay the overrun back with real activities.

Settled is a productivity app, not a medical device. Its timers, meditation soundscapes and reminders are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice or treatment.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Settled on devices you own. You may not resell, copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.

The supporter pass and the monthly plan

• The supporter pass is a one-time purchase; the monthly plan is an auto-renewing subscription of £4.99 a month (the price shown in the store at purchase applies). Both are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store and tied to the store account that bought them.
• The monthly plan renews automatically each month until you cancel it in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
• Purchases unlock the app on the platform where they were made and do not transfer between Google Play and the App Store. If you switch platforms, contact us and we will help where we reasonably can.
• Reinstalling, or moving to a new device with the same store account, restores your purchase through the store's own record.

Refunds

Because Settled's paid content is delivered immediately at purchase, refunds are handled by the store you bought it from — Google Play or the Apple App Store — under their refund policies. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including your rights under UK and EU consumer law if digital content is faulty.

Your responsibility for your own configuration

Settled does what you tell it to: it will close the apps you put on its watched list. You are responsible for choosing those apps sensibly — do not watch apps you may need in an emergency. The accessibility service and every permission are optional and enabled by you.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Settled is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties. To the same extent, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending or changing things

You can stop using Settled at any time by uninstalling it; your data goes with it, as the privacy policy describes. We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be posted at this address with a new date, and your continued use after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live elsewhere in the UK or EU you keep any protection and venue rights your local consumer law gives you.
